Where is the boat?
We’re conveniently docked just south of downtown Chicago at 31st street Harbor.

• Ride-share or Private car service easy drop-off/pick up access.

• Steps from the Lake Shore Drive (LSD) bike path

• Exact dock will be provided post-booking for smooth boarding

Is there parking available at 31st street harbor?

*Arrival: Plan to arrive 45 minutes or more earlier to give yourself more time during lake front water events, sporting events, heavy traffic, and parking delays.

Guest Guidelines

How many people can I bring?
Most yachts accommodate up to 10 guests, depending on weight and layout. Do you have more guests? Ask us about multi-yacht charter packages.

Are children allowed?
Yes—little sailors are welcome. Please let us know at booking.

• All ages count toward your guest total

• Kids under 13 must wear life vests at all times and must have constant supervision.

• Infants must stay in a lap or carrier while underway?

Do you accommodate disabilities or special needs?
We’ll work with you to ensure a smooth, accessible experience—just let us know your needs at booking.

Captain, Crew & Charter Rules

Why is the captain fee separate?
Because we run bareboat charters (aka you rent the yacht like a rental car).

• U.S. Coast Guard regulations require the captain be hired by you

• You choose from our approved captain list or hire your own licensed pro

How much does a captain cost?
Typically $100–$250/hr depending on day/time. Gratuity is encouraged (10-20%) and paid directly to the captain via Venmo, Zelle, or cash.

Can we tie up with other boats?
We can get close…

• We can anchor near other boats (75’ apart minimum)

• Guests may swim or float between vessels, but cannot board another charter

Food, Drinks & Vibes

Can we bring our own food and alcohol?
Absolutely!

• BYOB friendly (just no glass or staining drinks like red wine)

• Onboard: fridge, cooler, prep space

• For safety: stove is disabled; microwave use only when docked (not guaranteed in motion)

We’re starving… what are our options?

• Want something extra? Craving something specific? We can recommend some of our partner restaurants with exclusive discounts.

Can we play our own music?
Yes! All yachts come with Bluetooth speakers to connect and DJ your own private floating party.

Weather Refunds & Rescheduling

Weather Policy

What if it rains or the weather's bad?
The captain makes the final call on safety. Uncharterable conditions include:

• Lightning

• High winds

• Heavy fog

• Small Craft Advisories or high waves

If we need to cancel:

Weather related cancellations have the option to reschedule within 5 days of the original reservation. If not, a full refund will be provided.

Cancellation policy

• 10 days prior to scheduled charter reservation: 50% refund or one-time reschedule

• Less than 5 days of scheduled charter reservation: No refund

• No-show: No refund or credit

Can I reschedule my charter?
Yes—life happens.

• One-time reschedule allowed if requested 5+ days in advance

Yes—and they’re legendary.

Can we swim during the charter?
Yes! Only when anchored:

• You may swim and lounge

• Floatation toys and lily pads available as an add-on

• Life jackets are onboard for all passengers
